Google Review Link Generator

Paste your Google Place ID to create a direct “leave a review” link that opens the review box in one click — perfect for texts, emails, receipts and QR codes.

The easiest way to get more reviews

Most customers are happy to leave a review — they just won't go looking for where. A direct review link removes that friction entirely: one click (or one QR scan) opens the Google star-rating box for your business, already loaded. Generate yours above, then put it everywhere you talk to customers — the thank-you text, the email footer, the receipt, the table tent.

How to get your Google review link

Google builds a review box for every Business Profile at a predictable address that uses your Place ID — a unique identifier for your location. The generator simply slots your Place ID into that address, so getting your link is a two-step job: find the Place ID, paste it in. Copy the result and it's ready to send by text, email or QR code.

How to find your Google Place ID

A Place ID is a short string that identifies one specific business location — it usually begins with ChIJ and looks something like ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4. Two reliable ways to get yours:

  • Google's Place ID Finder. Google publishes a free finder as part of its Maps developer documentation. Search your business name and location, and it returns the Place ID for that listing — no account or API key needed just to look one up.
  • Check you picked the right listing. If your business has several locations, or a name shared with another company nearby, confirm the address shown next to the result before copying. A Place ID points at one location, so the wrong pick sends every review to the wrong branch.

Or skip the Place ID entirely

Most owners never need to touch a Place ID. Open your Google Business Profile, use the Ask for reviews button, and Google hands you a short link that looks like g.page/r/…/review. That is a review link — paste it into the generator above and it passes straight through, ready to copy, turn into a QR code, or share.

Two things that look like they should work but don't: an ordinary google.com/maps address, and a shortened maps.app.goo.gl share link. Neither contains your Place ID — Maps identifies the listing a different way — so the generator will tell you so rather than quietly producing a link that goes nowhere.

Businesses with more than one location need a separate Place ID — and so a separate review link — for each. Generate them one at a time above and label them clearly before you hand them out.

Ask everyone, fairly

A direct link makes asking easy — keep it honest. Send it to every customer, not just the ones you expect to rave, and never offer a discount or freebie in exchange for a review. Both review-gating and incentives break Google's policies and put your profile at risk. The link does the heavy lifting; consistency does the rest.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a direct Google review link?

Paste your Google Place ID into the generator above. It builds a link in the format search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_ID, which opens the Google review box for your business in a single click — no searching, no extra taps.

What if I don't have my Place ID?

You may not need it. If your Google Business Profile has already given you an 'Ask for reviews' short link — the g.page/r/…/review one — paste that in and the generator uses it directly. Otherwise Google's free Place ID Finder gets you a Place ID in about thirty seconds. What won't work is a plain google.com/maps address or a shortened maps.app.goo.gl link: neither actually contains your Place ID.

Where do I find my Google Place ID?

Use Google's free Place ID Finder, published as part of its Maps developer documentation. Search your business name and location and it returns the Place ID for that listing — a string that usually starts with ChIJ, like ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4. Check the address shown beside the result before copying, then paste it into the generator and your review link is ready.

Is anything I paste in sent to your servers?

No. The link is assembled entirely in your browser with JavaScript — nothing you type is transmitted, logged or stored, and the tool works the same whether or not you are online after the page has loaded.

Do I need a different review link for each location?

Yes. A Place ID identifies one specific location, so a multi-location business needs a separate Place ID and a separate review link for each branch. Generate them one at a time and label them clearly, otherwise reviews meant for one branch will land on another.

Why use a direct review link instead of sending people to my profile?

Every extra step loses reviewers. A direct link drops the customer straight onto the star-rating box, so a happy customer can leave a review in seconds instead of hunting for the button. Fewer clicks reliably means more reviews.

Can I turn the link into a QR code?

Yes. Paste the generated link into any free QR-code maker, then print it on receipts, table tents, business cards or packaging. A customer scans it and lands on your review box — ideal for in-person businesses.

Is sharing a review link allowed by Google?

Yes — asking customers for reviews and sharing a link to your review box is fine. What's not allowed is incentivising reviews (paying or discounting for them) or review-gating: only sending happy customers to the link while diverting unhappy ones elsewhere. Ask everyone, the same way.
