How BuyReviewz creates, reviews and keeps its guides accurate — and where we stand on independence and corrections.
Who writes BuyReviewz content
BuyReviewz has helped local and online businesses build their online reputation since 2018. Our guides are written and reviewed by the BuyReviewz editorial team — people who work on reviews, listings and local SEO day to day, not anonymous freelancers writing to a word count.
We attribute guides to the BuyReviewz Editorial Team because they reflect our collective, hands-on experience rather than one person's. Where an individual contributor writes a piece, they are named on the byline.
How we create our guides
We write from first-hand experience helping businesses grow their reviews and local visibility, and from the current, documented behaviour of Google Business Profile and the major review platforms. Before publishing, every guide is checked for accuracy, for whether the tactics still work today, and for anything that could put a business's profile at risk.
We lead with the answer, use specific numbers and examples instead of vague claims, and avoid filler. When a platform changes a rule or a ranking factor, we update the guide and change its date.
Sourcing and accuracy
Platform features, policies and thresholds are checked against the platforms' own official documentation and help centres. Statistics and benchmarks are attributed to their source. When something is our own estimate or opinion, we say so.
We do not publish tactics that rely on fake profiles, review-gating, or anything that violates a platform's terms — because they get profiles filtered or suspended, which is the opposite of building trust.
Independence and commercial content
BuyReviewz sells review and reputation services, and some guides link to those services where they're genuinely relevant. Our guides are written to be useful whether or not you ever buy anything from us — the practical, free advice comes first, and we're honest about the trade-offs. We do not publish fabricated reviews or ratings in our content, and we don't claim endorsements we don't have.
Updates and corrections
Google and the review platforms change constantly, so we revisit and refresh our most important guides on a regular schedule and whenever a platform makes a material change. Published and updated dates are shown on each article.
