What Google says about reviews and local ranking

Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and how well-known a business is, which partly depends on how many reviews it has: “More reviews and positive ratings can help your business’s local ranking.” The same Business Profile help page says there's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google.

Google's Maps content policy also lists reviews that have been paid for as fake engagement. So we don't promise a ranking, a map-pack position or a timeline. An order adds the reviews you choose to your profile, at the pace shown for each format, with a free refill if one drops within 30 days.
